KUDA Automotive Mounting Base In-Car Installation & Review (Magellan Premium Car Kit / iPhone 3GS)
KUDA mounts are possibly the ultimate mounting solution for practically any mobile electronic device. Check out this installation overview video of a Kuda mount and Magellan Premium Car Kit into my 2009 Ford Focus SEL. I couldnt believe the overall quality, fit, finish, and factory appearance offered by such a mounting base. Transcript from video: For those of you who arent familiar with KUDA, they offer quality custom mobile electronic mounting solutions that are hand made and stitched in Germany. Their products offer a sleek and elegant platform for mounting various devices into any vehicle. And to top it off, KUDA mounts are extremely easy to install. Mounts are application specific, so check out KUDAs site to find the mount thats right for you. They feature a unique leather wrapped polyester shell that is hollow, which allows for a convenient location to conceal wires. The bottom line is that these mounts are some of the easiest I've come across, and they offer a factory finished look and feel. KUDA also claims that they are splinter free and safe in the event of airbag deployment. The quality and style doesn't come as a surprise to me though, because after a bit of research I discovered that KUDA mounts are offered on the OEM level in many European car markets. Anyone familiar with the Tomtom one GPS?
There are three versions of the TomTom One. The latest contains some map, software, and processor improvements not available on the first two iterations. The only disadvantage of the newest version is that it lacks a removable SD memory card. I recommend the Version 3 unit: http://www.a2dvoices.com/realitycheck/gps/TomTomGPS.html
